The project enjoys superior landscape resource advantages, and the site roughly presents a gentle slope topography high in the northeast and low in the southwest. It mainly consists of main stadium, comprehensive gymnasium and aquatic sports center.
Overseas EPC:
•A high-starting point practice of overseas large-scale EPC projects
•Utilization of value engineering principle for design optimization, thus to properly deal with issues regarding national image, regional characteristics, extremely difficult construction conditions, etc.
•Development of special response measures in design with regard to the actual conditions of underdeveloped regions

Design concept:
•Drawing of design inspiration from sunshine, and integration of the geological and cultural characteristics of Africa in planning and design
•Adoption of the sun as the theme of the main stadium to locate it in the central flat area of the site and cover it with 16 huge unit blocks laid out in divergent pattern, symbolizing the sun shining with boundless radiance and welcoming guests from all over the world
•Use of the golden yellow of African land as the dominant tone of the facade, making convenience for the natural ventilation and shading of the stadium through the transparent facade
•Design of the comprehensive gymnasium and aquatic sports center in the form of pebbles washed out by the Congo River under sunshine, echoing with the molding of the stadium; adoption of a smooth and round molding for the roof, and use of colorful grids with rich colors on the facade to embody African culture, which not only creates orderly light and shadow changes but also achieves the goals of indoor ventilation& lighting and green & energy-saving design.
