Hainan R&F Ocean Paradise
As a key project constructed during the “12th Five-year Plan” period of Hainan Province, it occupies a floor area of about 2,000mu, and is invested in the amount of about 6.5 billion RMB. After completion, it will become the first world-class marine-themed park complex in domestic.
Project Location: Lingshui County, Hainan Province
Building Area: 26,677㎡
Client: Hainan R&F Properties Co., Ltd.
Partner: Forrec
Designed/completed: 2013/2015

It is the first domestic theme park introducing an international brand operation and management institution. Foreign to domestic situations, the operation and management company did not quite understand the consumption habits or tourism psychology of the Chinese people. The members of our team related to operation and equipment management joined the design communication meeting, helped the Owner establish some operation and management ideas, and offered some professional opinions about the selection of building materials used in the waterpark.

Due to the tight schedule of the project, the schematic design of the foreign company and the landing cooperation of our company had to be carried out almost at the same time; in addition, the four parks undertaken by us were simultaneously carried forward by four different theme packaging and landscaping companies, which, combined with the late determination of amusement facilities, posed a great challenge to our design progress. However, the project team was able to overcome all these difficulties, and carry the project forward as scheduled. The waterpark area of the project embraced its first flow of visitors at the end of 2014.
