During Beijing Olympic Games in 2008, it was used to hold men's singles, men’s doubles, women’s singles and women’s doubles as well as the wheelchair tennis games of Paralympics Games. The tennis center is built with ten match courts and six practice courts, and, after a series of renovations after Beijing Olympic Games, it has been built into a tennis center integrating competition, body fitness and entertainment functions.

Planning and design

Planning and design:
• Full utilization of existing elevation difference to create three gradually-elevated platforms from west to east.
• Arrangement of the activities of the audience above the platform, and arrangement of the activities of VIPs, athletes and media below the platform, thus to achieve 3D flow line separation.
• Penetration of the park’s forest landscape between 16 tennis courts, creating the characteristic of the integration of forest and sports facilities.

Architectural design

Architectural design:
• Concise and simple, using the texture of bare concrete and steel to implicitly match with the Olympic Park.
• Combination of gray wall and green lawn, perfectly integrating the entire building complex with the overall environment of the park.
• Gradual elevation of the stand height of the three courts with the change of the number of seats.
• Use of white awnings in the central court, just like 12 pure petals blossoming in the green forest and extending into the sky.

M&E design

M&E design:
• Adoption of permanent diesel generator, temporary dedicated diesel generator, UPS and other facilities and equipment to ensure reliable power supply.
• Integration of BOB standard, ITF standard and our national and industrial standards for court lighting, meeting the requirements of tennis matches of the highest grade in the world.
• Adoption of intelligent lighting control system and preset lighting scenario control.
• Combination of mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation on site, solving the high temperature problem in the tennis courts.
• Use of solar energy, a renewable energy, to heat domestic hot water and GSHP air conditioning system; adoption of fresh air heat recovery installation to preheat (precool) fresh air; full utilization of natural ventilation and natural lighting.
• Adoption of digital security system to ensure a high degree of security during the games.

Green building

Green building:
• Combination of mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation on site to maximally utilize outdoor natural wind.
• Adoption of GSHP, solar heat-collecting panels and renewable energies to achieve sustainable development.

Technical economy

Technical economy:
• Interaction with the designer to select materials, support inquiry and collect material information.
