Huizhou Sports Center

The project is located in Huicheng District of Huizhou, and is adjacent to the Fourth Ring Road (an important ring road in Huizhou) in the north; it is also connected with East Sports Road in the east and with West Sports Road in the west. It consists of four parts, i.e., main stadium, warm-up exercise field, tennis center and flare tower.

Designed in the concept of “stage in a flourishing age”, the main stadium adopts the forms of the enclosed house and bamboo hat of the Hakkas in the south of the Five Ridges, embodies the themes of humanity, green development and harmony and reflects the local culture of Huizhou, implying the long-standing Hakka culture and its promising future development.

The project meets the standards and functional demands of the opening ceremony of the 13thGames of Guangdong Province 2010 as well as track & field, football and tennis events and other similar or individual major domestic events; during non-event days, it can satisfy the training requirements of professional sports teams and other teaching, scientific research and living requirements. After completion, it not only has become a main place for holding both national and international large-scale sports events and cultural & entertainment activities, but also provides leisure, entertainment, body fitness and shopping facilities for the public.
