The project has five stories aboveground and four stories underground, and a maximum height of 32m; its total construction area is 91,799m2. Leaning on the form of the mountain, the plot is also built with 18 single-story villas. The main building and villas of the hotel include a total of 385 guest rooms, and a panoramic view is commanded of the beautiful landscape of the Erhai Lake.
Planning and design:
• The east side facing the Erhai Lake has the maximum value, and all the guest rooms of the hotel are designed to face it and thus enjoy the optimal vision.
•To fully take advantage of the landscape of the Erhai Lake, the building is adapted to the topographical deflection and orientation to face the seascape, and the roads and landscape are designed according to local conditions.
•The roads leading into and outside of the hotel are laid out between the main building and the Cangshan Mountain on the west side, thus to enhance the sense of privacy and exclusivity of the hotel.
•The vertical layout of the plot is rationally designed to enrich its spatial layers.

•Design of bypass flow lines both between the nodes of the main guest flow line and between the branch flow lines inside the main flow line, thus to meet the demands of a five-star hotel
•Partition of the supporting dining, meeting and entertainment functions of the hotel through vertical stacking in a rational, efficient and non-interfering manner
•Simplification of the complex logistics of the hotel through partitioned organization and planning

Structural design:
•The project has a seismic fortification intensity of grade VIII, a basic design grade of grade A and a pile foundation design grade of grade A
•The discontinuous parts of the vertical structure are enhanced to improve the seismic grade of beams and columns in the variation range of the vertical structural members
•The reinforcement ratios of the columns circumventing the building, the structural members on the edge of shear wall and the wall body are improved, and their axial compression ratios are controlled

•Adoption of centralized hot water system for hot water supply (designed temperature of hot water: 60℃; designed temperature of cold water)
•Design of electric energy management system to realize energy consumption assessment and internal measurement via network protocol access of BAS
•Monitoring and control of the M&E system by the system to improve its operational efficiency and save energies
•Adoption of electrostatic filters as the air filters of air processing unit and fresh air processing unit

•Utilization of this cooperative pattern to timely discover and solve design problems, reduce the risks of cross-specialty cooperation and ensure design quality
•Introduction of a new cooperative pattern, through which the design team and the BIM team realize seamless connection, jointly use BIM software for construction drawing design and use BIM software for direct plotting of construction drawings; participation of BIM designers in the design from the design stage
