It was exactly because of this “dynamic heart” that State Grid Pavilion became one of the extremely few pavilions having some substantial contents inside their “containers” during 2010 Shanghai World Expo. Through the integration of the transformer substation and the exhibition area, it provides visitors with an opportunity of taking an inside look at all kinds of power facilities and green design methods. After the expo, “Magic Box”, as the only independent enterprise pavilion to be permanently reserved, will continue to serve the urban development of Shanghai mainly by virtue of its office and exhibition functions.
