The project is located in Zhongguancun National Engineering Technology Innovation Base in Changping New Town of Beijing. Its design responds to the planning and design concept of the entire CNPC area, and defines its architectural form as consisting of two parts, i.e., tower and podium. While the podium horizontally extends and is connected with the tower through enclosures and overpasses to create a huge base platform, the tower floats on the base in an extremely concise and pure style, distinguishes itself from the podium through different facade textures and thus creates a clear and readable logical relationship. The building cluster takes the central courtyard as its core, and, based on the bottom overhead construction of the building and the continuous connection of surrounding courtyards and supported by rich landscape interfaces, it thus creates a multi-level public space to promote exchanges between employees.
