Inspired by the "New style of Tang Dynasty", the project has created an architecture of “great reclusion” in the lakescape, and, in presenting it respect for the history and for the site, it also serves as a real basis for discussions about Tang Dynasty".
In general layout, the project has introduced the concepts of “seriousness and harmony”; in architectural form, it has embodied the alternation between regularity and freedom; in historical values, it has implied the coexistence of Confucianism and Taoism. In the middle of the base there is a central axis running from east to west, and the arrival area, lobby, lobby bar and viewing platform of the hotel are successively laid out on the axis; the upper and lower side of the axis are respectively arranged with other public facilities of the hotel, including the corresponding conference centre and Chinese restaurant, the matching specialty restaurant and all-day restaurant, etc. In terms of specific plane layout, it also deliberately stresses the comparison between “majesty” and “tranquility”.
